The most common questions before installing and in the first minutes of use.
A Minecraft: Java Edition launcher built around instances. Each instance has its own version, loader, mods, shaders, packs, settings and worlds, isolated from the others. It is lightweight, direct and made for modded play.
Windows 10 and 11 (x64) and Linux x86_64 (AppImage). A macOS version is coming soon.
Download the
DromorCraft_<version>_x64-setup.exe installer and run it. It needs WebView2, which ships with Windows 11 and most up-to-date Windows 10 systems.Download the AppImage, make it executable and run it:
chmod +x DromorCraft_*.AppImage && ./DromorCraft_*.AppImage. Requires webkit2gtk.No. If the machine lacks the runtime a Minecraft version asks for, the launcher downloads the right one straight from Mojang servers. Older game versions get the Java they actually accept.
To play online, yes: the launcher requires a legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition and login goes through the official Microsoft flow. Offline profiles exist only for servers that allow them and do not bypass any game protection.
Vanilla, Fabric, Quilt, Forge and NeoForge. Mods, resource packs, shaders, data packs and modpacks come from Modrinth and CurseForge, always through each service’s public API. No version list is hardcoded in the launcher.
On the releases page of the repository on GitHub, or in this site’s version list. The installed launcher also notifies you of new versions, on startup and every six hours.
Under Settings → Launcher updates. Nothing is downloaded unless you ask. Only a package whose signature matches the public key bundled in the launcher is accepted; anything else is refused. With the game open, the update waits for you to close the session.
On Windows, in
%APPDATA%\DromorCraft. On Linux, in ~/.local/share/dromorcraft. That is where instances, shared libraries and assets, Java runtimes, world backups and logs live.Every run leaves a file in
logs/ inside the data folder. If the launcher does not even open, the reason is in nao-iniciou.txt in the same folder. Bring that file to Discord or open an issue; you will get an answer faster.Yes. The installers are distributed free of charge for personal use. Do not redistribute them modified or under another name.
