Microsoft account
- Login through the official Microsoft flow, the same way the official launcher does it.
- The accounts screen checks every account on open: a name changed on the website shows here, and a lost session or an account without Minecraft: Java Edition is marked on its own row, with "Sign in again" in its place.
- An outage in the Xbox or Mojang services does not flag the account; only a real refusal does.
- Microsoft accounts can play offline.
Offline profiles
- To play without an account on servers that allow it.
- They do not bypass any game protection. Playing online requires a legitimate copy of Minecraft: Java Edition.
Where credentials live
- In the operating system keychain — never in a file, a log or a URL.
- The sidebar shows who is playing and switches accounts right there.
